Cargo security & broker vetting

Vet the broker, verify the pickup, protect the high-value load: the process controls no device provides.

What this is:freight brokers arrange a carrier's loads. Before hauling for a new one, verify it is legitimate: FMCSA authority, a surety bond, and a payment track record. Skipping vetting is how carriers get hit by cargo theft and double-brokering, where a fake broker re-sells or steals the load. Every vetting here is logged, so the process is documented and defensible.

Rapid Load Partners has not been vetted: no FMCSA authority verification, no bond on file. Vet before tendering a load; this is the exact gap double-brokering fraud exploits.

  • Sealed trailer with numbered seal recorded at pickup
  • No unattended drops; secured/monitored parking only
  • Pickup number + driver identity verified against the shipper record
  • In-transit check-in cadence set for the load
High-value loads follow a documented protocol, and double-brokering red flags are covered in driver training. A broker re-tendering your load, mismatched pickup numbers, or a fictitious-pickup pattern. Cargo theft is a process problem. Broker vetting, pickup verification, and secured parking are the controls a device can’t provide.
Dispatch logs a load over the threshold here (TMS import later). The driver gets the protocol checklist by text at pickup, and each completed step is logged to the load file.
